Lettuce Says,
We are few of those people who eat rice meals at any time of day. I have always been a sucker for steaks so we tried Slice N' Dice for the first time. The place was nicely lit but we prefer seats with back rests. (Getting old…) Some seats were empty since it's only 4 'o clock.
They are known and proud of their P99 steaks. We ordered T-Bone (well done for me of course with gravy on the side). Rice must be purchased separately and it's ginto (P21 per cup!). Sizzlers @ ATC Foodcourt is actually cheaper since it already includes 1 big serving of rice (java or garlic). I ordered Cheezy Garlic Mussels (P66 with rice + P15 w/ drink) and mashed potato (P19) for Sunrise.
We spent a little over P200. Sunrise noticed the receipt has Tin # and Permit # showed as XXX-XXX-XXXX. I wonder, is it allowed for restaurants just like driving a car with For Registration sign instead of a plate number?
Sunrise Says,
I told you in our entry about the buffet dinning in Marriott Cafe that I loved their potatoes, but for Slice N'Dice, it was very disappointing. I could make a better mashed potato with this for P19. I'm a fan of Mr. Potato head, and I bet he would be ashamed on how his family would be disgraced by the way this mashed potatoes were made. Give them the benefit of the doubt that they think they served real mashed potatoes but there were just too little hint of butter, spices and flavor.
The cheesy garlic mussels served in sizzling plate (10 pcs.) was very nice though, considering that it was only for P66 with hefty load of cheese on top of each mussel, but I prefer melted cheese. The garlic flavor overflowed from the mussel’s shells over to the sizzling plate giving a nice charred garlic aroma, that’s good if you do like garlic. Overall, this treat was very nice but its still better served baked.
Bad choice of rice or are they just making up for lost profit?
The T-bone steak was ok, because it was sliced thin, so it's easier to SLiCE N'DICE, not too flavorful though, and the gravy was not too bad - just common commercial gravy.
Although SLiCE N'DICE is a fast food type of dining, they should have at least gave a little effort in putting some art in their plates, they say that it is not only your mouth and stomach that does the eating, our eyes tastes it first.

T-Bone
Loved it! Nicely done, gravy tasted flat and it’s obvious
Cheezy Garlic Mussels (10 pcs)
It’s too cheddarry for me.
Mashed Potato
Ok for P19
You can see Sunrise's attempt in plating.
