Lettuce and Sunrise: The Proposal

Pink Sisters is LOVE

Lettuce Says,

Since it's the LOVE month, we'll share to you our favorite sisters, 'The Proposal' and the romantic breakfast we had last year.

At the height of the wedding preps (and wedding expenses!), we were in dire need of a quick getaway. Guess there's nowhere to run but to Tagaytay! Since we live in Binan, we have been in and out, seen and hid in the cold breezy city of Tagaytay. It's our default oot (out of town) place.

To get there, we just take the jeep from Binan to Balibago, then ride another jeep from Balibago to Tagaytay City Market. Approx. 1-1.5 hrs travel time depending on the traffic that Paseo and Balibago Terminal have created.

Our default church when in Tagaytay is the Pink Sister's Convent Adoration Chapel. When we need solace and to pray for thanksgiving, Mama Mary always bring us here.

Visiting Pink Sisters is always a part of our suggested itinerary. You can catch the mass every Sunday morning and afternoon. On ordinary days, you can always see a pink sister kneeling and praying at the altar, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sometimes you can catch all the pink sisters who are singing in prayer. One time, we were lucky to hear them sing and we were comforted by their angelic voices. All we could do was close our eyes and listen.

You can write your petitions in a piece of paper found at the side of the church. You can donate cash or in kind to the sisters. You can also buy their yummy cookies and other items at their gift shop. I was so fond of writing them letters and I know they open each one and pray for it. I am a living testimony of how their prayers and our own faith do wonders to get what you have prayed for. I wrote to them when I was scared I wouldn't graduate from college, or that I might fail the board exam, or I couldn't find a nice job, or true love. In some ways, their prayers have helped those fears go away and helped me achieved what God knows that I need, in His own time. :)

Lettuce's Tip: If you leave your complete address in your petition letter and donation, they will send you a Thank You card with a little prayer. I treasured these letters from them. Letters with prayers that brought smile and hope for me.

July 8, 2012 - After attending mass, I was supposed to surprise Sunrise with a delish breakfast, but before I could tell him, he had me skipping some heartbeats instead, when he showed a ring and asked me, in front of God, to be forever be beside him in this lifetime and He only knows maybe even after.
